HISTORY OF SPRINT PRESS

   Sprint Press,Inc., located in Ft. Worth, Texas, was founded in 1968 by Bob Williams.  Mr. Williams had visions of the direction printing was headed at that time; and after 33 years he is still, on a daily basis, looking into the future. Sprint Press was no different than most new companies trying to make a name for themselves in the printing market in the late 60’s.  It seemed as though printing companies were popping up on every corner; and competition was tough, not only for business, but also for good employees. However, his extraordinary estimating ability and keen sixth sense for foreseeing new markets, set the stage for Sprint Press Inc. to become one of the major leaders for the new millennium in the North Central Texas printing market. 

            Due to tremendous growth in the early 1970’s, James Anderson was brought in as a partner to head up manufacturing.  Mr. Anderson’s expertise as a pressman and supervisor gave Mr. Williams the time he needed to concentrate on marketing. It was no surprise to those who knew him that business once again accelerated. This additional growth created the need for Jeff Garrison to be brought in as a partner in the mid 1970’s to head up Sprint’s sales area. His ability to spark new business was the final touch needed to establish Sprint Press Inc. as a heavy contender in the North Central Texas printing market. In 1985 the decision was made to expand the business to markets in other regions. After researching many market areas, Denver Colorado was decided upon, and Sprint Denver was created.  Kent Zwingelberg would be our choice as partner and President of this new company.  The combination of Mr. Zwingelberg’s knowledge of printing, the growing Denver market, and Sprint’s business philosophy resulted in our inevitable success. As a team working together, Sprint Press Inc. has grown from virtually zero in sales in 1968 to a combined total of $35,000,000 in sales in the year 2000. 

            The success of Sprint Press Inc. is the result of teaming together the best managers and craftsmen available in the Southwest, along with the philosophy of always being one step ahead of your competition in technology, quality, and service. Simply put:  “Always set the benchmark for your competition.” 

            The printing world has undergone many evolutions in the past 200 years and continues to evolve today. The challenge of staying ahead of this curve will always be our priority at Sprint Press Inc.
